A writing retreat gives you the chance to relax and reflect to share your words with other people, to plug back into the source. You’ll get the much needed chance to give your creativity a boost. To eat, drink, rest, read, chill. To pay attention to the wonder of the world round about you.

And then to write, as if your life depended on it.

Why Scotland?

Fresh air, wide open skies, constantly changing light. The interplay of mountains, rivers, lochs. A landscape rich in history: like your life, containing layer upon layer of story.

You Don’t Need to Be a Writer

You don’t need to be “a writer” to come on a writing retreat. Forget the noun, focus on the writing. On the verb. So no, you don’t need to be a writer. Yes, you need to want to write, to spill words on the page, to start to recognise the sound of your own writing voice.

2010 Calendar
